Tz'ite Beans are sacred red seeds that come from Guatemala. They are extremely sacred and only used by the Ajq’ijab (Mayan Daykeeprs/Medicine People). The seeds date back to the Pop Vuj; which is the Creation story of the Mayans and their most sacred text.
These seeds fill every Ajq’ijab sacred bundle (envoltura sagrada) and serve as an divination tool for the people.
They are used in accordance with the Mayan Calendar and the Nahaules.

Traditional Mayan Divination Ceremony that calls the Spirits. This is an ancient form of prayer from Guatemala that uses the fire to communicate with the Ancestors.
A Mayan fire ceremony is an ofrenda/offering to the Gods. Weather giving thanks and feeding the Spirits or petitioning for an answered prayer from God. When its a personal ceremony, individuals come to honor their ancestors and pray to the nahaules (the 20 sacred daysigns in the Mayan calendar).
The Ajq’ij creates a fireplace, a banquet, a feast for the spirits and Creator. Using no wood, they build the fire with candles and delicious sweets; such as copal, cedar, rosemary, sage, tobacco. To even chocolate, fruit, sugar, honey, and flowers. A beautiful altar or mandala is made and then after evoking the spirits, everything is burned and together we call in the scared 20 energies.
In this ceremony we call in the ancestors and spirits, while creating a portal for them. During this time we ask for prayers of healing in our lives. The offerings that we put into the fire carry our prayers to Creator. Each offering carries a different energy and intention, a different prayer, and the combination is a rich banquet of energies offered to Ahua.
These offerings are a way of giving food and life to Mother Earth. While feeding Mother Earth, the participants also feed themselves. The Fire Ceremony gives life and energy to all those who take part. We sustain our lives by sustaining Mother Earth.

Loq’laj Kotz’ij
Mayan Fire Ceremony is the English term, in Spanish it translates as Fuego Sagrada (sacred Fire) or Ceremonia Maya (Mayan Ceremony), while in traditional & original terms, in the language K’iche Mayan it is Loq’laj Kotz’ij.
Loq’laj Kotz’ij symbolizes sacred flower. It translates as well to Placenta. This is becasue the sacred mayan fire is related to the moon and feminine reality; which represents giving birth.
A personal fire ceremony is directed for an individual, couple, or family. It is not a community ceremony (those happen only when we arrange them) but a small personal healing ceremony.
The actual fire Ceremony consists of 2 hours approximately, including the time to build it. Our ceremonies also include and start with about a 20 minute platica/talk about your prayer and a 20 minute basic Mayan astrology Chart Reading to discover what is an individuals nahual.

Tho please consider that the fire materials come all the way from Guatemala and this is quit costly + the one on one ceremony & Divination is nearly 3 hours.
Note it is only Nana Xochiketzalli most the year attending your fire. Only during special events will her teachers Nana Tomasa & Nana Sebastiana be present and when this happens all 3 nana’s work together.
