Mayan Fire Ceremony
Traditional Mayan Divination Ceremony that calls the Spirits. This is a Mayan prayer that uses the fire to communicate with the Ancestors.
Mayan Fire Ceremony is the English term, in Spanish it translates as Fuego Sagrada (sacred Fire) or Ceremonia Maya (Mayan Ceremony), yet its original language, K’iche Maya, it is Loq’laj Kotz’ij.
A Mayan fire ceremony is an ofrenda/offering to the spirits. Weather giving thanks or petitioning for an answered prayer, individuals come to honor their ancestors and pray to los nahaules.
The Ajq’ijab create a beautiful altar, a banquet, a feast for the spirits. Using no wood, they build the fire with candles and delicious sweets; such as copal, chocolate, tobacco, sugar, and flowers.
Your Intention
In this ceremony we call in the ancestors and spirits, while asking for prayers of healing in our lives. The offerings that we put into the fire, carry our prayers out to Creator.

Your Personal Fire
Schedule your personal Fire Ceremony on a special day in the Mayan Calendar to receive assistance and energy from a specific nahual for your specific prayer.
A personal fire ceremony is directed for an individual, couple, or family. It is not a community ceremony (those happen only when we arrange them) but a small personal healing ceremony.
The actual fire Ceremony consists of 2 hours approximately, including the time to build it. Our ceremonies also include and start with about a 20 minute platica/talk about your prayer and a 20 minute basic Calendar Reading to discover what is the individuals nahual.
Suggested donation of atleast $100-300 per AjQ'ij assisting the Prayer, yet no one will be turned away for lack of funds. (These ceremonies are traditionally not monetized, yet an exchange is always required. Please consider that the fire materials come all the way from Guatemala + the one-on-one ceremony & Divination is 3 hours with 2 hrs of set up & cleanup.) Note it is only Nana Xochiketzalli most the year attending your fire. Only during special events will her teachers Nana Tomasa & Nana Sebastiana be present and when this happens all 3 nana’s work together.
The 3 hour one on one healing / ceremony will include a basic CholQ’ij Mayan Calendar Reading, a Platica heart to heart on your petition while setting your intention for the fire, and a 2 hour fire divination ceremony. + The Healing includes a limpia with plants, flowers, copal, & an egg.
