Community Mayan Fire Ceremony - Celebrating the changing of Seasons with Nana Xochiketzalli, AqQ’ij.

Free gathering to honor the coming of Fall and celebrate the Autumn equinox

The ceremony will start with a 7 direction prayer and then move onto a platica about the Mayan Cosmovision. The fire will then be built using no wood, but only ofrendas, such as copal, candles, chocolate, and roses. Then everyone lights the fire and the ceremony begins with the counting of the 20 nahuales.
